InCoWriMo update

Well the challenge is over and while I did not get a note written every day, I didn’t fail completely. I did receive 4 letters which I think is pretty good. Even though the event is over, I do plan to write all 4 back.

Will I do it again next year? I do think I will, but I hope to be better prepared/organized than I was this year.

One card I received was a postcard with the return address typed on a label, my address typed on a label and a label filled with text on the main portion of the card. I think, for me, I couldn’t do it…seems like too much of a cop out when it’s supposed to be a handwritten letter or note…but, getting mail is a always nice, no matter the format.

A pause in my vacation…

I’m beat..utterly worn out and I love it.  Spent the morning on my brother in laws boat cruising the intercoastal.  The sun and fresh air have made me just want to nap everyday, and I have.  It feels wrong but it was so needed.  Right now I am laying on the bed in my bedroom, trying to rehydrate and possibly take a nap today.  Yawn.  I wonder if anyone will miss me.

I’ve got my toes in the water….

It is now March, which means our vacation to Florida is just a few days away.  I am so excited.  We stay with my brother-in-law on the Gulf Side.  The picture above is part of his beach off his property.  Nice, isn’t it.  The view is breathtaking and I get such amazing sunset pictures.  I will have to post a few of them sometime.

I will have the means to make a post or two while I am gone, so I won’t ignore this new blog while I am gone.  I am praying for good travel weather and a great relaxing time.  With this view, how could it not be?  Right?

Fresh start

I’ve had a personal blog for a while now, but I wasn’t getting any followers, nor was I being very consistent with it.  So, I thought that perhaps it was time to start fresh, if a blog was what I really wanted to do.  I guess it doesn’t hurt to give it a try, right?

I have to learn wordpress and everything it is capable of doing. I had gotten used to the simplicity of blogger but I decided a fresh start meant a fresh blog title and fresh home for it.

So, HI!  My name is Michele, and I am a 50+ mother of two grown kids, and 2 furbabies.  My husband and I have been married 31 years and we are both Veterans.  I served 13 years in the United States Air Force, and he retired after 26 years in the United States Air Force.  I love to read, so you will probably find me talking about books quite a bit.  I am a hobbyist photographer.  I don’t really get out to take a lot of photos, unless I am on vacation, but when I do, I try to take the best photos I can.

I hope readers will find me interesting.  I hope that my writing improves as I take this journey.  I have so much going on in my heart and head that i sometimes cannot get the words out.  But I remain optimistic.  Wish me luck!

It’s nice to meet you, faceless reader, and I hope that we can find a connection.
